  22. I recently got a 68060 for my A2000 (Blizzard 2060), and it flys.  I 
  23. thought that I would bring up one thing that can SERIOUSLY affect render 
  24. times -- the type of RAM in your Amiga.
  25.  
  26. I have 8-megs of 16-bit RAM and 16-megs of 32-bit.  If I stay in the 
  27. 32-bit RAM, the system flys, but as soon as I hit the slower 16-bit RAM, 
  28. I take as much as a 50% speed hit.

  30. Moral:  Get as much RAM on your accelerator as you can, and as fast RAM 
  31. as you can (60ns is what I have).  I've gotten up to 4.5x speed increases 
  32. over my GVP 040/33MHz with 16-megs (8 megs 16-bit).

  34. I'll post some benchmarks from the LW CD once I get paid and can get 
  35. another 16-megs 32-bit RAM.
